The Essentials
Daily rate & extra hours
Minimum rental charge is 1 day. Every hour beyond that is billed at 1/6 of the daily rate, up to 6 hours — after that, a full day applies. Ruhanmas reserves the right to revise rates without prior notice, so always confirm the rate in force at the time of rental.
Terms of payment
Payments are accepted by Visa, E-Wallet & MasterCard only, processed securely through Ipay88. Your statement will show "Mobile88.com," and a confirmation e-mail follows every transaction.
Online booking deposit
A reservation deposit secures your booking:
- RM200 — Car, MPV & Van
- RM100 — Motorbike & Scooter
Driving license
All renters must hold a valid driving license. Licenses still under probation are not accepted.
Booking Rules
Cancellation policy
Online bookings cannot be cancelled. You may reschedule the date at least 3 days before rental starts, subject to vehicle availability.
Insurance — Collision Damage Reduction (C.D.R.)
C.D.R. is included in every rental. If there's loss or damage, the hirer is liable up to the excess: RM900 for Car / MPV / Van, RM200 for Motorcycle / Scooter.
- 01Insurance is void if driven under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- 02Under-body and overhead damage is at the renter's own risk.
- 03C.D.R. is void if driven by anyone not registered on the agreement.
- 04Missing accessories are not covered by insurance or C.D.R.
- 05Dents or scratches while parked are the hirer's risk.
- 06Any accident must be reported to Ruhanmas immediately.
- 07Motorcycles & scooters are strictly for Penang Island use — helmets are provided and compulsory.
Petrol
Fuel is at the hirer's expense. All vehicles run on unleaded petrol only.
Extending your rental
Give Ruhanmas 24 hours' notice to extend within Peninsular Malaysia, or 48 hours' for one-way rentals ending in another city. Extra rental must be paid upfront to keep insurance active.
Singapore & Thailand
Rentals cannot cross into Singapore or Thailand. Ruhanmas vehicles are for use within Peninsular Malaysia only.
Pickup, Delivery & Extras
Free pickup & drop-off
Available daily, 9 a.m.–5 p.m., at these locations. A RM 50 surcharge applies outside these hours or on public holidays:
- Ruhanmas HQ Batu Ferringhi
- Penang International Airport
- Penang Main Bus Terminal, Sungai Nibong
Baby seat & phone holder is free
Baby seat and phone holder service for free, available on collection and subject to availability.

Ending your rental in another Malaysian city? A minimum rental period plus a reposition fee applies — ask when you book.
Parking & traffic fines
These are the renter's responsibility. Ruhanmas will try to reach you to settle fines — if we can't, your details will be passed to the relevant authority.
